Botanical Garden was found in 1788 by order of King Carlos III, in order to acclimatize all plants imported from around the world. This amazing place was located in the outskirts of the city. Now it is rather proud of a huge rubber tree; its width is many square meters. It is over 200 years old, and was brought to Tenerife from Brazil. Another well-known plant is tree of a traveler, brought from Madagascar. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that at the outlet of the tree you may find some clean water, which allows to slake a thirst.
